Adoption briefing
CHERI Adoption Global Ecosystem Assessment Q1 2026
The assessment organizes public evidence and stakeholder activity into a view of adoption across research, industry, government and open communities.
What the assessment covers
The publication brings together public sources, stakeholder engagement, ecosystem activity and technical developments. Its value is the cross-stack view: processor and platform work can be considered alongside operating systems, tools, standards, policy discussions, skills and community activity.
How to use it
Use an ecosystem assessment to identify dependencies and questions, not to replace technical due diligence. It can help a decision-maker find where activity is concentrated, where gaps remain and which organisations or programmes may hold relevant evidence.
- Compare the assessment date with the date of your decision.
- Trace important statements to the named public source or stakeholder evidence.
- Separate announced work, experimental demonstrations and maintained availability.
- Use the gaps as prompts for evaluation rather than proof that a route is impossible.
Evidence limits
A quarterly snapshot ages quickly. Public activity may understate confidential commercial work, while announcements may overstate delivery if milestones or support are not verified. Membership, event participation and research publication are signals of activity; they do not automatically establish product maturity or adoption at scale.
