What you’ll do
The CHERI developer community spans research groups, operating-system and toolchain projects, hardware teams, Alliance working groups and product developers. Each community has a different scope and contribution process.
Before you begin
Finding the right forum saves time and makes questions easier to answer with maintainers who own the relevant component.
Steps
1. Prepare
Include the platform, architecture, ABI, revision, commands, expected behaviour and smallest reproducible example.
2. Route
Use the issue tracker for bugs, project discussion channel for support and working group for cross-project alignment.
3. Contribute
Start with documentation, tests, issue reproduction or a small reviewed patch before proposing broad changes.
Check your result
Public forums are not suitable for embargoed vulnerabilities or confidential product information; follow each project’s security policy.
Record the architecture, platform, ABI, release, source revision and complete commands. A second developer should be able to reproduce the result.
